菩薩阿毘達磨有其二類。一者解釋契經二者詮法體相。舊錄所載和雜編之。今所集者分為二例。釋契經者列之於前。詮法性者編之於後。庶無糅雜覽者易知。

The Bodhisattva Abhidharma consists of two classes: first, those that explain the sūtras; second, those that explicate the nature and characteristics of dharmas. What was recorded in older catalogues was compiled haphazardly. What is collected now is divided into two categories: those that explain the sūtras are listed first; those that explicate dharma-nature are compiled after them. May there be no confusion, so that readers may easily understand.
