菩薩阿毘達磨有其二類。一者解釋契經。二者詮法體相。舊錄所載和雜編之。今所集者分為二例。釋契經者列之於前。詮法性者編之於後。庶無糅雜。覽者易知。

Bodhisattva abhidharma has two classes: the first consists of commentaries explaining sūtras; the second consists of expositions of the essential marks of dharmas. In the older catalogues, they were recorded and compiled together in a mixed manner. What is collected now is divided into two categories: those explaining sūtras are listed first, and those expounding dharma-nature are arranged after them. It is hoped that there will be no intermingling, so that readers may easily understand.
