The eighty-nine sūtras from "Māra's Daughters" downward were all excerpted from major scriptures and listed in the catalogue of extracted texts; they are excluded here.
Sūtra on the Supernal Illumination Samādhi, in two fascicles (second translation; also simply called Sūtra on Supernal Illumination; or in three fascicles; Master Dharmarakṣa had earlier produced this from the Sanskrit text, but the language and meaning were cumbersome and repetitive, so Chengyuan revised and smoothed the prose and verses, eliminating redundancies to surpass the earlier version; see Gaoseng Zhuan and the catalogue of Sengyou);
Sūtra on Yuennan, in one fascicle (also named Sūtra on the Elder Yuenan; also named Sūtra on Nan; first translation; see Changfang's catalogue).
The above two works in three fascicles are both extant.
The Upāsaka Nie Chengyuan was perceptive, talented, and dedicated to the Dharma. When Master Dharmarakṣa translated sūtras, Chengyuan mostly assisted in correcting the phrased text as well as acting as scribe taking down dictation. Later, in the reign of Emperor Hui, he translated two works including the Supernal Illumination himself. Furthermore, catalogues such as Changfang's state that Chengyuan also translated the Sūtra of Kāśyapa Questioning Ānanda; this, however, is an excerpt from the Miscellaneous Parables and not an independent translation. Moreover, the three catalogues of the Han dynasty's Fotiao, Shigao, and this Chengyuan all record it, which is an egregious error.
Sūtra on Bodhisattva Vimaladattā's Elucidation and Eloquence, in one fascicle (second translation; same original text as Dharmarakṣa's Vimaladattā Sūtra, etc.; also called Distinction and Retribution; now included in the Ratnakūṭa as the thirty-third assembly; other catalogues that state it was translated by Zhu Dharmarakṣa are mistaken; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Original Deeds Sought by Bodhisattvas for Buddhahood, in one fascicle (sometimes without the character "Zhu" [All]; a different translation of the "Pure Conduct Chapter" of the Avataṃsaka; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Parinirvāṇa of Mañjuśrī, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Different Translation of the Sūtra on the Bodhisattva's Original Deeds, in one fascicle (sometimes without the character "Qi"; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Bodhisattva Receiving the Fast, in one fascicle (second translation; see Changfang's catalogue).
The above are extant; those below are lost.
Sūtra on the Ten Stages of the Great and Vast Bodhisattva, in one fascicle (second translation; largely identical with minor differences compared to Dharmarakṣa's translation; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Bodhisattva's Ten Abodes of the Dharma, in one fascicle (a different translation of the "Ten Abodes Chapter" of the Avataṃsaka; third translation; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Ten Abodes, in twelve fascicles (a different translation of the "Ten Stages Chapter" of the Avataṃsaka; second translation; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Fifty Matters of the Bodhisattva Dependent on the Body, in one fascicle (second translation; largely identical with minor differences compared to the Sūtra on the Fifty Conditions of the Body; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Prediction of Avalokiteśvara, in one fascicle (second translation; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Essential Gathering of All Buddhas, in two fascicles (second translation; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Vow of Bodhisattva Jñānadhvaja [or Śāntasvara], in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Bodhisattva Seeking the Method of the Five Eyes, in one fascicle (You's catalogue lacks the character "Sūtra"; also called Text on the Five Eyes; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Six Practices of the Bodhisattva Path, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Bodhisattva's Initial Stage, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Ten Stages of the Bodhisattva Path, in one fascicle (some say this is the previously translated Bodhisattva Ten Stages; see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on Mañjuśrī's Debate with the Woman Liyi, Extremely Resembling the Vimalakīrti, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Miscelleanous Practices for Bodhisattvas, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Four Practices Undertaken by Bodhisattvas, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on the Bodhisattva's Past Lives, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Sūtra on Mañjuśrī's Purification of Vinaya, in one fascicle (second translation; slight differences from Dharmarakṣa's translation; see Changfang's catalogue);
Single-Person Altar Ritual Text for Receiving the Bodhisattva Precepts, in one fascicle (see Changfang's catalogue);
Method of Repentance for Bodhisattvas, in one fascicle (stated to be an alternative translation text; see Changfang's catalogue).
The above twenty-four works in thirty-six fascicles (the six works in six fascicles up to the Sūtra on the Bodhisattva Receiving the Fast are extant; the eighteen works in thirty fascicles from the Mahāvaipulya down are lost texts).
The Upāsaka Nie Daozhen was the son of Chengyuan. Both father and son possessed pure clarity of mind and made the translation of texts their occupation. From the beginning of the Taikang era under Emperor Wu to the end of the Yongjia era under Emperor Huai, during this period, besides consulting and receiving instructions from Dharmarakṣa and serving as scribes, after Dharmarakṣa passed away, Daozhen proceeded to translate twenty-four works himself, such as the Vimaladattā's Elucidation. He was truly a disciple of Master Dharmarakṣa, fully deserving of the title. He was quite adept at phrasing, and his language and meanings were clear and luminous. Furthermore, catalogues such as Changfang's list an additional twenty-nine sūtras claiming they were translated by Daozhen. Because they are all extracts and excerpted sūtras, they have now been deleted and are not retained.
Sūtra on the Bodhisattva Offering and Visiting the Stūpa Making Vows and Recollections;
