From the Chu shoudao [jing] down, twenty-nine sūtras, all extracted from the Za piyu jing (According to the Sui Renshou Catalogue of Sūtras, there were thirty-nine sūtras. Now, regarding the Mayi jing in one fascicle, upon checking catalogues of various eras it is stated that An Shigao translated it, and it is now compiled into the canon, so it is omitted here. Its Liuren yu jing is said to be extracted from the Mayi [jing], and was compiled above earlier, so it is removed here. Its Dedao ticheng jing is also said to be extracted from the Za piyu [jing]; now because the main text lacks it, it is temporarily compiled into the canon. Its Wuwei jing, Bie yu jing, Du yu jing, Huizi jing, Ma yu jing, and Shoudan jing—the above six sūtras are all extracted from within the Sheng jing; the old statement that they are extracted from the Za piyu [jing] is mistaken. Now they are compiled in that catalogue, so these are also removed here. Its Jiaye ze Anan shuangdu luohan yu jing is an alternate title of the Jiaye jie Anan jing and should not be listed twice. Apart from these ten sūtras, there are twenty-nine sūtras, as listed above. Since they are said to be extracted from the Za piyu [jing], it is not yet known exactly which one they come from; upon checking the two two-fascicle versions of the Piyu, neither contains these sūtras. They might come from the eighty-fascicle version, or perhaps from the Za piyu sanbai wushi shou jing translated by Master Dharmarakṣa. Those sūtras are all included in the catalogue of lost texts).
