The eighty-seven works above in two hundred sixty-one fascicles (four works in six fascicles, including the Busiyi, are extant; eighty-three works in two hundred fifty-five fascicles, including the Shu panyao, are lost texts).
Feichang's and other catalogues record anonymous translations of the Wei and Wu dynasties, totaling one hundred ten works in one hundred ninety-one fascicles, stating that they are all anonymous translations of sūtras from the two ancient catalogues. Now they are appended here to show that for those of ancient times there is nothing to rely upon. Now, with regard to the remaining twenty-three works in thirty fascicles: either their translation has a known origin, or they are alternate names and different titles, or they are excerpts drawn from larger works, or they are doubtful, spurious, and not authentic. They are now all deleted in the hope of avoiding complexity and confusion. They are fully detailed as follows:
Futui zhuanlun jing, four fascicles (this is recorded among the anonymous translations of the Northern Liang, and being included here again, it is known to be a duplicate; Sengyou's catalogue states it is an extraordinary sūtra from Dao'an's Liang territory; it is now preserved in the Liang catalogue, and deleted from here);
Xiao benqi jing, two fascicles (translated by Zhi Yao of the Later Han);
Si bei jing (also called Sibei dizi jing, and also called Sibei xue jingfa; the catalogue above states it was translated by Zhu Fahu of the Western Jin);
