皇恩俛仰恭命。今所譯者約以類分。隨三藏文相次附入。自惟以索繼組。以礫次金。疑則闕之。以俟來哲也。

the imperial grace, bowing low in reverent submission to the command. What is now translated is classified according to categories, appended and entered successively following the Tripiṭaka masters' texts. Reflecting upon myself, I feel I am following silk braids with mere cords, or following gold with coarse gravel. Where there is doubt, I leave it omitted, to await future wise men.
