新定目錄合三十卷。開為總別。總錄分二。初奉承恩制。次總集群經。別錄亦二。初分乘藏差殊。次明賢聖集傳。總中分為一十九卷。別中分成一十一卷。就別分乘藏中更有七門。今先敘科條餘。次編載。

The newly determined catalogue consists of thirty fascicles in total. It is divided into the General and Detailed [Catalogues]. The General Catalogue is divided into two parts: first, that [of texts] respectfully received by imperial grace; second, the comprehensive collection of all sūtras. The Detailed Catalogue is also divided into two parts: first, distinguishing the differences of the vehicles and the canons; second, clarifying the anthologies and biographies of sages and saints. Within the General [Catalogue], it is divided into nineteen fascicles; within the Detailed [Catalogue], it is divided into eleven fascicles. Under the distinguishing of the vehicles and the canons in the Detailed [Catalogue], there are further seven divisions. Now I shall first set forth the headings; the rest will be compiled and recorded next.
