From the tenth year of Yongping (dingmao) of Emperor Ming to the first year of Yankang (gengzi) of Emperor Xian, there were eleven emperors across one hundred and fifty-four years. There were twelve monastic and lay translators. The sūtras, vinayas, and śāstras produced, along with the newly and previously collected anonymous translations, total two hundred and ninety-two works in three hundred and ninety-five fascicles (among them, ninety-seven works in one hundred and thirty-one fascicles are extant, and one hundred and ninety-five works in two hundred and sixty-four fascicles are missing texts). These constitute the sūtra catalogue of the Later Han. In it, those where 'Emperor' is directly stated are authentic, whereas those that also mention personal names are spurious. The chronology and cyclical signs are verified and fixed according to the two chronological tables of Zhen Luan, Metropolitan Commandant of the Tang, and Wang Daogui, Erudite of the National University.
