2.25

「復次，道種性住堅忍中，觀一切法無生、無住、無滅，所謂五受三界二諦無自他相，如實性不可得故；而常入第十第一義諦，心心寂滅而受生三界。何以故？業習果報未壞盡，故順道生。復以三阿僧祇劫，修八萬億波羅蜜，當得平等聖人地故，住阿毘跋致正位。

“Furthermore, those of the path-disposition abide in firm patience, contemplating that all dharmas are unproduced, non-abiding, and unceasing—namely, that the five feelings, the three realms, and the two truths have no characteristics of self and other, because their nature as it truly is cannot be grasped. Constantly entering the tenth ultimate truth, their thoughts are extinguished in tranquility, yet they take birth in the three realms. Why is this? Because the karmic habituations and retributions have not yet been completely exhausted, they take birth in accordance with the path. Further, for three asaṃkhyeya kalpas, they cultivate eighty billion pāramitās, and because they are to attain the ground of equal noble ones, they abide in the correct position of avaivartika.
