At that time, when Śākyamuni Buddha expounded the prajñāpāramitā, fifty billion people in the assembly attained entry into the first stage; furthermore, eight hundred thousand sons of the gods of the six desire heavens attained the stage of inherent emptiness; furthermore, eighteen Brahma kings attained anutpattika-kṣānti and the kṣānti of delight in the unproduced Dharma; furthermore, those who had previously trained as bodhisattvas realized the first stage, second stage, third stage, up to the tenth stage; furthermore, asura kings of the eight classes attained the ten samādhi-doors and the three samādhi-doors, were able to shed their ghostly bodies, and attained correct absorption in the heavens. Those present in this assembly all attained faith in their own nature, up to immeasurable faith in emptiness. I have now briefly spoken [of this]; the merits of the devas and others cannot be fully described.
