At that time, the Bhagavat, on the eighth day of the fourth month of the year, entered the great, tranquil, and marvelous samādhi. All the pores of his body emitted great radiance, universally illuminating the Buddha lands in the ten directions, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges. At that time, immeasurable devas of the desire realm rained down various exquisite flowers, and devas of the form realm also rained down heavenly flowers, their diverse colors interwoven and delightfully pleasing. At that time, the formless realm rained down fragrant flowers, their fragrance vast as Mount Sumeru, the flowers large as chariot wheels, descending like clouds and universally covering the great assembly; the entire Buddha world shook in six ways.
