2.68

"Great King! In future ages of the five defilements, all kings, princes, and ministers will rely on their own nobility to destroy my teachings, overtly making regulations to restrict my disciples. Bhikṣus and bhikṣuṇīs will not be permitted to leave home to cultivate the correct path, nor will they be permitted to build stūpas and images of the Buddha. White-robed laity will sit on high seats while bhikṣus stand on the ground, treated no differently from soldiers and slaves according to law. You should know that at that time, the extinction of the Dharma will not be far off."
