2.179

初頌說斷疑。即當此論不住涅槃。後頌廣釋所以。即當此論不住生死。彼初長行文易可解。此論生下云。若不住涅槃應受生死苦惱。為離此著故。

The first verse speaks of resolving doubt, which corresponds to not abiding in nirvāṇa in this treatise. The second verse elaborates on the reason, which corresponds to not abiding in saṃsāra in this treatise. The prose text of that first part is easy to understand. Introducing what follows, this treatise says: “If one does not abide in nirvāṇa, one would suffer the pains and afflictions of saṃsāra; in order to abandon this attachment…”
