2.49

經。何況至為人解說　演曰。況福勝行也。由此勝故不可將彼捨身功德用。為校量故舉信心不謗少福。彼尚不如況心正法行。

Sūtra: 'How much more…' up to '…expounds it for others.'
Exposition: Highlighting by comparison the superior practice of merit. Because of this superiority, that merit of renouncing the body cannot be used as a comparison; hence it cites the small merit of having faith without slander—even that is not equal to it, how much less the actual practice of the true Dharma with one's mind!
