2.55

經。如是人等至三菩提　演曰。三荷正法無上菩提不過理智。以此教法詮菩提故亦名菩提。今持妙法蘊積在心。即為以肩荷擔菩提。或以念惠而為兩肩總持體故。令經文義集之。於彼此為如來二種菩提生了因故亦名菩提。以念惠二荷佛菩提。彼論第五句受持真妙法。

Sūtra: Such persons as these, up to sambodhi. Exposition: Third, shouldering the correct Dharma. Unsurpassed bodhi does not go beyond principle and wisdom. Because this teaching signifies bodhi, it is also called bodhi. Now, upholding the wonderful Dharma and storing it in one's mind is precisely shouldering bodhi with one's shoulders. Alternatively, taking mindfulness and wisdom as the two shoulders because they are the essence of dhāraṇī, one causes the text and meaning of the sūtra to be gathered in them; because these are the producing and revealing causes for the Tathāgata's two kinds of bodhi, they are also called bodhi. With the two of mindfulness and wisdom, one shoulders the Buddha's bodhi. This is the fifth line of that treatise: "upholding the true, wonderful Dharma."
