I bow my head to the Sugata, the Great Hero of the Maharṣis, / endowed with all virtues—wisdom, abandonment, and compassion. / He preached the pure phrases of the Vajra, / profound in principle, wondrous in efficacy, of inconceivable merit. / I bow my head to the one who could make requests [in fitting] times, / the venerable, observer of emptiness, the honored Subhūti; / to the bodhisattvas of the stage of succession, of the stage of Pramuditā, and of increasing illumination, / who unfolded and explained this teaching. / Now, to generate merit and wisdom for myself and others, / that the lineage of the Buddha may not be broken and the Dharma may circulate, / I gather the […] meanings to praise the true text; / I pray that through your majestic spiritual power you will bestow your protection.
