經。不應住色至觸法生心　贊曰。此別釋也。若執色等以為實有。便起希求追戀慳惜更增流轉永處生死。安能離相而發菩提。為遮此等故。勸不住色等生心。

Sūtra: “One should not produce a mind abiding in forms … sounds, smells, tastes, tangibles, or phenomena.” Commentary: This is the specific explanation. If one grasps at forms and the rest as truly existent, one will give rise to seeking, attachment, yearning, and stinginess, further increasing saṃsāra and abiding perpetually in birth-and-death. How could one abandon marks and arouse bodhi? To prevent these, [the Buddha] exhorts not producing a mind that abides in forms and the rest.
