[Sūtra:] "Subhūti, ... should abide as instructed."
[Commentary:] This is an exhortation to cultivate and abide. Giving without abiding is cultivated in accordance with the Dharma-nature; since it is like space, its merit is boundless. Therefore, a bodhisattva should act in accordance with the teaching I have spoken, resting their mind in signless giving and cultivating it, without doubting that it lacks merit.
