經。佛告須菩提若善男子善女人於此經中乃至受持四句偈等為他人說而此福德勝前福德　第二顯勝也。此中施多而福劣者。以有漏因違涅槃故。持經至少而福增者。以無漏因破生死故。

[Sūtra:] "The Buddha told Subhūti: 'If a good man or good woman, from within this sūtra, were to receive and uphold even as little as a four-line gāthā, etc., and explain it to others, this merit would surpass the previous merit.'"
This is the second [part], demonstrating the superiority. Here, although the giving is great, its merit is inferior, because contaminated causes run contrary to nirvāṇa. Although upholding the sūtra is minimal, its merit is superior, because uncontaminated causes shatter saṃsāra.
