From 'diligently seeking...' onwards is the fifth: the mind being free from weariness toward all scriptures. The sixth, from 'obtaining such knowledge...' onwards. The seventh, from 'skillfully understanding worldly norms, knowing the time and knowing the measure...' onwards. The eighth is from 'adorned with shame and conscience, such virtues...' onwards. The ninth is obtaining the nine powers of endurance, having attained endurance. The tenth is diligently practicing offerings to all Buddhas, practicing as taught. These ten kinds of practice reveal two kinds of superior accomplishment: (1) obtaining mental accomplishment, namely faith, compassion, love, and so forth; (2) accomplishment in practice, down to practicing as taught, and so forth. Seven among them are practices for one's own benefit, meaning that through faith one can believe in bodhisattva practices and all Buddha-dharmas, and because one seeks them, one can ultimately attain them. As for practices relying on benefiting others: love, compassion, giving, being free from weariness, scriptures, understanding the worldly Dharma—from these six down, they are practices of embracing others through the Dharma. The remaining three practices are: (1) non-attachment; (2) immovability; (3) cultivation, the basis for purifying those defilements. The thirty clauses spoken earlier in 'abiding'—from 'the predominance of faith' down to 'constantly seeking the higher, superior path'—are the dharmas that purify the ground. Now, these ten, from faith and so forth down to making offerings to all Buddhas, are entirely the purifying dharmas that overcome the obstructions of the ground. Because the ten great vows have distinct obstructions, they are not mentioned here.
