The third subdivision is from "Ānanda, all those who are reborn in that Buddha Land" through "the path of nirvāṇa." It explains that the worthy and noble ones of that land naturally receive their karmic fruition: whatever they need, vessels of the seven precious gems appear abundantly before them. "Although there is this food, in truth no one eats it": this explains that when the hundred flavors of food appear before the worthy and noble ones in response [to their wishes], although they do not taste the flavors, merely by seeing the color and smelling the fragrance they are spontaneously full and satisfied, their bodies and minds joyful and at ease. This is called noble food; because it does not involve sweet juices or wet nourishment, it is said that they do not eat.
