經。第九橫者投巖取死　九山崖墜落。此人不定壽業是陷墜眾生增上果。若遇順緣修福等資助。則不墜巖壽命延長。如其不爾則壽命短促故為橫死。

Sūtra: "The ninth untimely death is throwing oneself from a cliff to die."
Nine: falling from mountain cliffs. This person's karma for lifespan is indefinite; it is the dominant result of causing sentient beings to fall into traps. If they encounter supportive conditions such as cultivating merit to aid them, they will not fall from cliffs and their lifespan will be prolonged. If not, their lifespan will be short; therefore it is an untimely death.
