1.23

經。若昔人中至名號者　三由昔聞名。由聞佛名熏習善因。雖後遇惡友造作惡業。還復憶念藥師佛名佛神力故。非直拔除三種業障。亦復能令三種苦果皆得解脫。

Sūtra: If formerly, while among humans [...] to [...] the name. Third, due to having heard the name in the past. Because hearing the Buddha's name perfumes a good cause, even though one later meets bad friends and creates evil karma, through the divine power of the Buddha one again recalls the name of Bhaiṣajyaguru Buddha. Not only are the three kinds of karmic hindrances uprooted, but the three kinds of bitter fruits are also all liberated.
