是身無我為如火　火性炎上妄計為我。肇曰。縱任自由謂之我。而外火起滅由薪火不自在。不自在火無我也。外火既無我。內火類可知。

"This body has no self, being like fire." The nature of fire blazes upward, and people falsely grasp it as a self. Sengzhao states: "Acting freely and independently is what is meant by 'self.' Yet external fire arises and extinguishes dependent on fuel; fire has no independence. Having no independence, fire has no self. Since external fire has no self, internal fire can be known by analogy."
