是身無壽為如風　風息通命妄計為壽。肇曰。常存不變謂之壽。而外風積氣飄鼓動止無常動止。無常風無壽也。外風既無壽。內風類可知。

"This body has no lifespan, being like wind." Wind and respiration maintain life, and people falsely grasp them as a lifespan. Sengzhao states: "Existing constantly without change is what is meant by 'lifespan.' Yet external wind is accumulated air that blows and gusts, moving and halting without constancy. Moving and halting without constancy, wind has no lifespan. Since external wind has no lifespan, internal wind can be known by analogy."
