不捨道法而現凡夫事。是為宴坐　三訶真俗異緣失。仁王云。雙照二諦平等。道照真故道法照俗。故凡事肇曰。小乘障隔生死故。不能和光大士美惡齊旨。道俗一觀故。終日凡夫。終日道法也。淨名之有居家即其事也。

"'Not abandoning the Dharma of the Way and yet manifesting the affairs of ordinary beings: this is quiet meditation.'" Third, reprimanding the fault of taking ultimate and conventional truths as separate conditions. The Benevolent Kings [Sūtra] says: 'Double illumination of the two truths equally.' 'Way' illuminates the ultimate, hence the Dharma of the Way; illuminating the conventional, hence the affairs of ordinary beings. [Seng]zhao said: "The Hīnayāna is obstructed and partitioned by birth and death, and therefore cannot soften its light. For the mahāsattva, good and bad share the same purport, and he views the Way and the conventional as one. Therefore, all day an ordinary being, all day the Dharma of the Way. Jingming's having a household is an example of this."
