"Enter the village with the perception of an empty village." This is the second part, the dharma of entering villages free from defilement. Since for the sake of the dharmakāya one does not receive, and begging food for the poisonous body: the village's six dusts can harm correct contemplation; entering the village to beg for food, how can one remain intact? Therefore, it shows that the village is signless and true emptiness, shaking off. The text has three parts: first, contemplating the external village; next, contemplating the internal faculties; third, concluding the true dhūta. This is the first. Sengzhao says: "An empty village is also a mark of nirvāṇa. Whenever entering a village, one should maintain this thought. If so, then being in a village all day long is being in an empty village all day long." "The forms seen are equal to [the vision of] the blind." This is the second part, the dhūta of contemplating the internal faculties. Regarding seeing forms as if blind, Sengzhao says: "The two vehicles detest and revile saṃsāra and are terrified of the six dusts; therefore, they are admonished to contemplate them equally. 'Blind' means not seeing the distinction between beautiful and ugly, not closing one's eyes."
