"One who eats in this manner neither has afflictions nor is free from afflictions; neither enters the state of concentration nor arises from the state of concentration; neither abides in the world nor abides in nirvāṇa." The fourth part explains having received the food of the Dharma and obtained the benefit of the dharmakāya. The text has two parts; this first explains the benefit of receiving gifts. Sengzhao says: "Eating with afflictions is the ordinary person; eating freed from afflictions is the two vehicles. If one can eat with equality as described above, this is the eating of the dharmakāya: neither eating with afflictions nor eating freed from afflictions. Furthermore, concentration and distraction are identical; worldly and world-transcending are equal; the joy of the equal Dharma equally nourishes the dharmakāya."
