我即為其如法解說　二為解。持律有二。一法身性淨之律。二陰身身口之律。今優波離持身口之律。見罪生滅壞法身無相之律故為訶也。肇曰。如法。謂依戒律決其罪之輕重。示其悔過法也。

"I then explained it to them according to the Dharma." The second is explaining for them. There are two kinds of upholding the Vinaya: first, the Vinaya of the dharmakāya's intrinsic purity; second, the Vinaya of the bodily and verbal actions of the body of the aggregates. Now, Upāli upheld the Vinaya of body and speech, viewing transgressions as arising and ceasing, which destroys the signless Vinaya of the dharmakāya; therefore, he was rebuked. Sengzhao says: "'According to the Dharma' means that relying on the Vinaya precepts, he determined the gravity of their offenses and showed them the method of repentance."
