緣起是道場無明乃至老死皆無盡故　緣起十二因緣相生起也。小乘觀十二緣。無明滅即行滅。非實相真場。大乘觀因緣。不生不滅。無無明亦無無明盡。此實相真場也。

"Dependent origination is the bodhimaṇḍa, because [everything] from ignorance to old age and death is inexhaustible." Dependent origination is the mutually dependent arising of the twelve links of conditionality. When the Hinayana contemplates the twelve links, when ignorance is extinguished, conditioned karmic actions are extinguished; this is not the true bodhimaṇḍa of the true mark. When the Mahayana contemplates conditions, they are neither arising nor ceasing: there is no ignorance, nor is there an extinction of ignorance. This is the true bodhimaṇḍa of the true mark.
