"All afflictions are the bodhimaṇḍa, because one knows them as they truly are. Sentient beings are the bodhimaṇḍa, because one knows selflessness. All dharmas are the bodhimaṇḍa, because one knows the emptiness of all dharmas." These three sections explain the bodhimaṇḍa in terms of the delusions to be countered. This means that delusion is the myriad afflictions, while awakening is the true bodhimaṇḍa. Sengzhao states: The true nature of afflictions, the selflessness of sentient beings, and the meaning of emptiness of all dharmas are all that from which the Way is born.
