即聞空中聲曰。波旬。以女與之乃可得去　四空聲勸捨女也。肇曰。淨名以魔迷固故化導之也。

"Then a voice was heard in space saying: 'Pāpīyas, only if you give the women to him can you leave.'" The fourth point is the voice in space exhorting him to give up the women. Sengzhao states: Because Māra was stubbornly deluded, Jingming transformed and guided him.
