舍利弗問天。汝於三乘為何志求　此下三約教明乘無乘別也。小乘有法執故有差別乘。大乘不二平等故無乘之乘。文二。此初問也。肇曰。上云。無得無證未知何乘故復問也。

Śāriputra asked the goddess: "Among the three vehicles, which do you aspire to seek?" (Below, the third part clarifies the distinction between vehicle and non-vehicle according to the teaching. The Hinayāna grasps at dharmas and thus has distinct vehicles; the Mahāyāna is non-dual and equal, and thus is the vehicle of no-vehicle. There are two sections. This is the first, the question. [Seng]zhao says: "Having said above that she has neither attainment nor realization, he does not know which vehicle she follows, and so asks again.")
