2.19

居士。是疾寧可忍不。療治有損不至增乎。世尊慇懃致問無量　此下正宣佛心三句。可忍否。有損否。不增否。如下答。疾既緣彼非我。問心亦彼損於我為痊。

"'Householder, can this illness be endured? Does the medical treatment reduce it without it progressing to an increase? The World-Honoured One inquires after you with boundless solicitude'"—from here down, formally declaring the Buddha's mind has three clauses: can it be endured? Does it reduce? Does it not increase? As in the reply below: since the illness conditions those [sentient beings] and not me, the inquiring mind also considers that their reduction is my recovery.
