答曰。非身合身相離故。亦非心合心合如幻故 肇曰。身相離則身心如幻。則非心身心既無病與誰合。無合故無病。無病故不可見。
He replied: "It is not conjoined with the body, because the body's marks are separated [from it]. Nor is it conjoined with the mind, because the mind's conjunction is like an illusion." [Seng]zhao says: "The marks of the body are separated, so there is no body; the mind is like an illusion, so there is no mind. Since body and mind are both absent, with what could the illness be conjoined? Since there is no conjunction, there is no illness. Because there is no illness, it cannot be seen."
