若能信解此經乃至一四句偈為他人說者。當知此人即是受阿耨多羅三藐三菩提記　十善五戒報在人天。大乘深經唯果菩提故始信四句便記成佛。

'If one can faithfully understand this sūtra and explain it to others even down to a single four-line verse, know that this person has already received the prophecy of anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi.' The retributions of the ten virtuous deeds and the five precepts are among humans and devas; the profound scriptures of the Mahāyāna have only bodhi as their fruit, and so, from the first moment of believing a four-line verse, one is given the prophecy of attaining Buddhahood.
