世尊。若有受持讀誦如說修行者。我當與諸眷屬供養給事。所在聚落城邑山林曠野有是經處。我亦與諸眷屬。聽受法故共到其所。其未信者當令生信。其已信當為作護　此三天帝覩法真益大發誓弘護。又護持正法菩薩行本所以誓修。

'World-Honoured One, if there are those who accept and uphold, read and recite, and practice as spoken, I and my retinue will make offerings and serve them. Wherever there is this sūtra—in villages, towns, cities, mountain forests, or wildernesses—I and my retinue will also go together to that place in order to listen to and receive the Dharma. Those who have not yet believed, we will cause to generate faith; those who have already believed, we will protect.' This is third: the Lord of Devas, seeing the true and great benefit of the Dharma, makes a great vow to propagate and protect it. Furthermore, protecting the true Dharma is the root of a bodhisattva's practice, which is why he vows to cultivate it.
