爾時四天王白佛言。世尊。在在處處城邑聚落山林曠野。有是經卷讀誦解說者。我當率諸官屬為聽法故往訪其所權護其人。而百由旬令無伺求得其便者　此下三四天王受旨經卷住處災難自清。況天力護持彌增法化。

At that time, the Four Heavenly Kings said to the Buddha: "World-Honoured One, in every place—in cities, towns, villages, mountain forests, and wildernesses—wherever there are rolls of this sūtra being read, recited, and explained, I will lead my various officials and attendants to go to that place for the sake of listening to the Dharma, to temporarily protect those persons, and within a hundred yojanas ensure that none who watch for an opportunity will gain their advantage." / Below this is the third part, the Four Heavenly Kings receiving the instruction. Where the sūtra rolls reside, calamities naturally clear away, not to mention that being protected by the power of the devas will further augment the transformation through the Dharma.
