降伏眾魔遊戲神通　此難二利功圓。降魔利他得度自利。此初也。什曰。神通化物非真故名戲。復次神通雖大於我我無難如戲。復次善入出住自在無礙如戲。肇曰。遊通化人以之自娛也。

"Subduing the hosts of Māras, sporting with supernormal knowledges"—this [passage] praises the perfection of the merits of benefiting both [oneself and others]. Subduing Māras benefits others, and attaining liberation benefits oneself; this is the first. Kumārajīva says: "Transforming beings through supernormal knowledges is not ultimate reality, hence it is termed 'sport'. Furthermore, although supernormal knowledges are great, for me there is no difficulty, just like playing. Furthermore, skillfully entering, arising from, and dwelling in them with unfettered ease is like playing." Sengzhao says: "Roaming in supernormal knowledges to transform people is how he entertains himself."
