"Having seen the Buddhas of the ten directions, he dreams that on the elephant's head there is an adamantine person who points a vajra toward all six sense faculties. Having pointed it toward the six sense faculties, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva explains to the practitioner the method of repentance for purifying the six sense faculties. Repenting like this for one to seven days, by the power of the samādhi of the presence of all Buddhas and by the adornment of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's Dharma teaching, his ears gradually hear sounds beyond obstacles, his eyes gradually see things beyond obstacles, and his nose gradually smells fragrances beyond obstacles. As broadly explained in the Lotus Sūtra, having attained this purification of the six sense faculties, his body and mind are joyous without any evil signs, his mind is purely the Dharma, and he accords with the Dharma."
