“Having purified the eye faculty, he again recites and reads the Mahāyāna scriptures, and throughout the six periods of the day and night kneels with his right knee on the ground to repent, speaking these words: ‘Why is it that I now only see Śākyamuni Buddha and the emanation Buddhas, but do not see the stūpa of Prabhūtaratna Buddha and the whole-body relics? The stūpa of Prabhūtaratna Buddha constantly exists and is never annihilated, yet because of my turbid and evil eyes I do not see it.’ Having spoken these words, he repents further. When seven days have passed, the stūpa of Prabhūtaratna Buddha wells up from the earth, and Śākyamuni Buddha immediately opens the door of the stūpa with his right hand. He sees Prabhūtaratna Buddha entering the samādhi of universally manifesting form bodies, from each and every pore pouring forth light as numerous as the dust motes of the Ganges sands, and in each and every ray of light are hundreds of thousands of myriads of koṭis of transformation Buddhas.
