經曰聖眾之道者　述曰。定隨戒也。然則智依定起。非淨戒無以現前。聖託道生終假人以顯其旨也。

[The sūtra says:] "'the way of the holy assembly,'" / The commentary says: This is the discipline concurrent with absorption. Wisdom arises dependent on absorption; without pure discipline, it cannot appear. Holiness relies on the path to arise, and ultimately depends on people to manifest its principle.
