Precept 25: Forcibly taking back a robe from a bhikṣu. Intent of the formulation: Having previously given a robe to another intending to travel together, but the other firmly refuses to go, reasonably one should remain harmonious, and seeking it back was originally without fault. Yet with an angry mind one forcibly snatches it back, mutually afflicting one another, which is especially improper. Therefore the Sage formulated the rule.
