Text for Declaring Pure Donation: "Bhadanta, focus your mind! I, Bhikṣu So-and-so, have this extra robe which has not been made pure. Now, for the sake of vicarious pure donation, I donate it to the bhadanta." (Having spoken this, one should hand it over to that bhikṣu. That bhikṣu, having received it, should say to him:) "Elder, focus your mind! You, elder, have this extra robe which has not been made pure; for the sake of vicarious pure donation, you donate it to me, and I now receive it." (Having received it, he should ask him:) "Who is your donor-trustee?" (He replies:) "So-and-so." (The recipient should speak as follows:) "Elder, focus your mind! You, elder, have this extra robe which has not been made pure; for the sake of vicarious pure donation, you donate it to me, and I now receive it. You, elder, stated yourself that the donor-trustee is So-and-so. I take this item and donate it to So-and-so. This robe is now the property of So-and-so. Elder, guard it for So-and-so, and use it as you wish." (Spoken once.)
