四者僧祇律　律主名婆麁富那。此土有法顯比丘。輕身重法。自往胡國求覓經書。到摩竭國。於巴連弗邑阿育王塔南天王寺寫得胡本。將還此國。以晉義熙十二年十一月到楊州。於鬪場寺共三藏禪師佛大跋陀翻出之。并六卷涅槃。比丘寶雲譯胡為漢。十四年都訖。律教流布　僧祇第四。

The fourth is the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya. The Vinaya master was named Vātsīputrīya. In this land was the monk Faxian, who made light of his own body and valued the Dharma, traveling on his own to the foreign lands to seek scriptures. Arriving in the kingdom of Magadha, at Devarāja Monastery to the south of King Aśoka's stupa in the city of Pāṭaliputra, he copied and obtained the foreign text and brought it back to this land. In the eleventh month of the twelfth year of the Yixi era of the Jin, he arrived in Yangzhou, and at Daochang Monastery translated it together with the Tripiṭaka meditation master Buddhabhadra, along with the six-fascicle Nirvāṇa-sūtra. The monk Baoyun translated the foreign text into Chinese. In the fourteenth year it was completely finished. The dissemination of the vinaya teachings: the Mahāsāṃghika is the fourth.
