1.25

經。眾生受佛至諸佛子　釋曰。第三信同佛位。謂因戒善合有處當來恒沙功德。於因說果。因同大覺。如涅槃經說。發心究竟二不別。如是應前心難當紹佛位名真佛子。

Sūtra: “When sentient beings receive the Buddha’s […] all Buddha-sons.” / Commentary: Third is having faith in equality with the Buddha stage. This means that through the good of the precepts, they are entitled to abide in future merits numerous as the sands of the Ganges; the fruit is spoken of in terms of the cause, for the cause is equal to the Great Awakening. As the Nirvāṇa Sūtra says: “The initial aspiration and the ultimate [attainment] are not two or different.” Thus, corresponding to the initial mind, they will assuredly succeed to the Buddha stage, and so are called true Buddha-sons.
