The thirty-sixth, the gate explaining understanding through knowledge, has one question and answer, divided into two: 1. question; 2. answer, divided into two: (1) general answer; (2) distinct explanation, divided into two: a. explaining knowledge of the stability of phenomena (dharmasthitijñāna), divided into two: (a) question; (b) answer; b. explaining knowledge of reality (tattvajñāna), divided into two: (a) question; (b) answer.
