Fourth, establishing the different names has four parts: 1. establishing alternative names based on the higher mind has two parts: (1) presentation, (2) explanation; 2. establishing alternative names based on dwelling in bliss has two different approaches: the first approach is based on the fruition stage, which has four parts: (1) presentation, (2) brief explanation, (3) inquiry, (4) answering the reason; the second approach is based on the causal stage, which has two parts: a. explaining dwelling in bliss in the present life has two parts: (a) presentation, (b) explaining the reason; b. explaining that formless absorptions lack this bliss has four parts: (a) brief presentation, (b) brief explanation, (c) inquiry, (d) answering the reason, which has three parts: i. raising a question, ii. explaining the criticism, iii. explaining the reason for stating this; 3 and 4 together, establishing alternative names based on partial nirvāṇa and based on distinction, have two parts: (1) general presentation, (2) specific explanation, which has two parts: a. explaining partial nirvāṇa, b. explaining distinctive nirvāṇa.
