五中第一明界施設建立分二。一略釋。二廣解　略釋分三。一問。二答。三略釋　二廣解分八。一明數建立。二明處建立。三明有情量建立。四明壽建立。五明受用建立。六明生建立。七明自體建立。八明因緣果建立。

The first among the five, explaining the designation and establishment of realms, has two parts: (1) brief explanation, (2) detailed explanation. The brief explanation has three parts: 1. question, 2. answer, 3. brief explanation. The second, detailed explanation, has eight parts: 1. explaining the establishment of enumeration; 2. explaining the establishment of locations; 3. explaining the establishment of the size of sentient beings; 4. explaining the establishment of lifespan; 5. explaining the establishment of experiential enjoyment; 6. explaining the establishment of rebirth; 7. explaining the establishment of the self-entity; 8. explaining the establishment of causes, conditions, and fruitions.
