初文分三。一總問。二廣答分二　一依成就戒律儀明護養定資糧分二。一立因分四如論。二顯果分二。一依已得明果。二依未得明果　二例餘根律儀等餘資糧法明護養定資糧分五。一依不退。二依圓滿。三現行。四依欣慕。五依精進明護定資糧　三結分二。一結因。二結果。

The first text has three parts: 1. general question, 2. detailed answer, which has two parts: [1] explaining the guarding and nourishing of the requisites of samādhi based on accomplishing the morality of the prātimokṣa, which has two parts: (1) establishing the cause, which has four parts as in the treatise, (2) demonstrating the result, which has two parts: a. the result based on what has already been attained, b. the result based on what has not yet been attained; [2] explaining the guarding and nourishing of the requisites of samādhi by analogy with other requisite dharmas such as guarding the sense-doors, which has five parts: (1) based on non-retrogression, (2) based on fulfillment, (3) active functioning, (4) based on yearning, (5) explaining guarding the requisites of samādhi based on diligence; 3. conclusion, which has two parts: [1] concluding on the cause, [2] concluding on the result.
